Our work for Disney+ received multiple Cannes Lions awards for its innovative brand identity and digital campaigns, solidifying its position as a leading streaming platform. The platform also earned Webby Awards for Best User Experience (UX) and Clio Awards for motion design and creative direction, showcasing the success of its engaging, user-friendly interface and impactful marketing.
As we began building the Disney+ design system, we developed a dynamic visual motif that translates the warm, hand-drawn curves of the original Disney wordmark into an elastic system of organic shapes, which evoked feelings of nostalgia while reaching toward the future with a modern and cinematic identity that appeals to audiences of all kinds — from Disney Channel fans to Marvel enthusiasts.

To achieve this, the strategy focused on bringing the parent brand Disney to the forefront while ensuring that Hulu and ESPN+ remained equal contributors to an expansive and diverse entertainment package. The resulting identity system ties all three brands together through a shared visual language of color, typography, and motion, forming a seamless universe of content that feels both unified and representative of each brand’s heritage.
